Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you use our Site as a visitor, and/or register for our service, you will be regarded as having read and accepted this Privacy Policy. If you don’t wish to be bound by what you read below, you shouldn’t use our Site or register for our service.

YouDrive takes the issue of privacy very seriously and we are committed to protecting and respecting our users’ privacy. This privacy policy and use of cookies statement sets out our current data processing practices.

For the purposes of the United Kingdom’s Data Protection Act 1998, YouDrive Limited (company number 10365681) is a registered data controller (Reference ZA222255 found on ico.org.uk/register), and from time to time may sub contract, under a formal Data Processor Agreement, services to carefully selected third parties as registered data processors in relation to the processing of any personal information in connection with our services and the personal data you disclose to us through our Site.

If you have any queries relating to our use of your personal information or any other related data protection questions, please contact us by email at in**@yo************.com

2.1 – Registering for our service

In order to register for our service, you must provide an up-to-date and valid email address. We use this email address to validate your access to the registered area of our website and allow you to access our range of services. We do this by emailing you a link, which you follow to complete the registration process, and create your username and password.

It is important that you maintain an up-to-date and valid email address. You can change your email address at any time under the profile settings once logged in.

When you register with our Site, as well as asking for your email address, we usually also capture your IP address at the time you register. We may also ask for additional information (such as your name, date of birth and financial data).

Deactivating your account or editing your information

You have the ability to edit your information at any time. If you want to correct or change the information in your profile, or any other information we have about you, please go to your profile page and make any changes there, or alternatively contact us for instructions as to how to do what you want.

Users aged 16 and under

If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to our Site and services. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.

2.2 – Regular weekly and monthly email updates

We collect your email address when you register for our service so that you can receive weekly and monthly email communications. We usually send our article emails once or twice a week, and our round up newsletter communication monthly, but on occasion we may send a further update periodically. In these communications we will send you information about our various products and services, or other products and services we feel may interest you. Only YouDrive will send you these notices. We only send our periodic updates when we have something really important or relevant to share with you. We try and keep our weekly communications short, informative and relevant as a feature of our service to help you maintain your financial wellbeing.

We hope you won’t want to, but if you do wish to stop receiving our regular email communications, you can do so at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ option at the footer of any email. Although this will stop you receiving our regular email updates, we may still email you if we need to contact you about any important updates regarding our service.

2.3 – Accessing our Tools and Services

We may collect personal information from you when you access certain tools and services or request certain products via forms on our Site. If we need to pass your information to a third party in order to meet your request, we will make it clear at the time you submit your details. In accordance with clause 6, we recommend that you read the privacy policies of those third parties which will detail how they will be permitted to use or not use your details for their own marketing purposes.

Please note we may use the information you submit in accordance with clause 2.4 below.

In order for you to interact with some of our tools and services, including the Product Comparison services and any other tools and services that we may launch from time to time (“Tools and Services”) we need to collect certain personal information from you. We may use or share your details with our third-party partners: (i) for the purpose of enabling your interaction with our Tools and Services (e.g., introducing you to one of our third-party partners); and (ii) in accordance with clause 2.4 below.

On occasion, we may also ask you for other personal information in connection with other optional services like surveys, sweepstakes or other promotional offers running on our Site but your participation in these features is purely voluntary.

2.3.1 – Product Comparison services

To provide our Product Comparison Services we collect from you additional personal and product information. For example, for our Gas and Electricity comparison we collect your name, date of birth, home address, email address, energy tariff and energy usage details.

We will use this information, or similar including national insurance number and existing product/plan details, as described above:

  • To provide you with product and price comparisons (which may involve regular periodic background comparisons using this information against terms and tariffs currently available on the market) for as long as you are registered for the YouDrive service;
  • To alert you to savings or deals which meet your chosen product area, alongside our regular email communication updates; and from time to time other products which we think you may be interested in;
  • In connection with, and with your informed consent, an application or enquiry you wish to make with one of our third party partners
  • To communicate with you at your request (e.g., to reset your password) and enable your details to be moved across our Tools and Services (with your informed consent) to speed up form filling, or to personalise, or improve your experience on our Site.

2.3.2 – Introducing you to our third party partners

From time-to-time, and with your informed consent, we may introduce you to one of our third party partners. This may be through a link to one of the services on our Site, or as a result of a telephone conversion with our Call Centre team. Each third party will have their own standalone terms and conditions and privacy policy, which you will be provided with as part of their service offering.

Many of our advertisers or partners, such as brokerages and merchants, may also link from our site to areas on their own sites where they sell their own goods and services. If you follow these links from our site to theirs, you should be aware that these other sites have their own privacy and data processing practices. YouDrive has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies. For more information regarding a site and its privacy policies, check that site.

2.4 – Internal reporting, insight and analysis

Our site uses cookies so that we can provide you with the best user experience and to deliver appropriate content and marketing communications that are relevant to you via a number of mediums. By continuing to browse this site you are consenting to the use of these cookies.

Cookies are very small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit websites. We use cookies to:

  • Ensure we give you the best experience on our website
  • Tailor your user experience, track your buying process and remember where you are in the order process.

Read our cookie policy in section 5 and the FAQs to learn more.

Cookies and the other information we automatically track are used to help us better understand how our audience uses our site as well as for internal research on users’ demographics and interests. Each browser accessing our Site is given a unique cookie which is then used to determine usage patterns, and to help in targeting content and ads based on user interests.

We may also use the information referred to in this clause 2 to generate aggregated, anonymised data for the purposes of internal reporting, insight and analysis, enabling us to improve our Site and the services we offer. Where necessary this exercise may be carried out on our behalf by a third party to track and analyse usage and volume statistical information from our users and visitors to our website – please see clause 3 below.

While on our Site, we automatically log certain information about how you’re using our site. This information may include the URL that you just came from, your IP address and the pages you visit while on our site. This may be used to detect the organization or ISP connecting to the site and an approximate geographic location.

If you are an existing customer or known contact you may be identified as having visited the site by virtue of either clicking through on emails, logging in or registering to use the website. This enables us to record in our server logs that a specific user ID has visited a particular page. This data allows us to analyse and determine our audience’s behavioral characteristics, which helps us to optimise our site, advertisement placement, and marketing focus.

To deliver an improved and more customised service YouDrive collects personal information to provide you, the site user, with the best and most personalised web experience possible and to provide our advertisers with an efficient means to reach the right audience. In short, by knowing a little about you, YouDrive can deliver more relevant personalized content, advertisements, promotions and campaigns to you during your visit to our website and through triggered email, SMS and direct mail.

The personal information you enter when registering on our Site or that we collect when you use our Site is confidential. YouDrive does not give, rent, lend or sell individual information to any third party for marketing purposes. Furthermore, we will not disclose any information about individual users, except as described below:

(i). We may disclose the information described at clause 2 to a third party in the following circumstances:

If required or permitted to do so by law, may disclose your personally identifiable information to protect the rights and property of YouDrive as well as to comply with any applicable law or valid legal process. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Requests by government agencies: we will disclose any information we have in our possession to law enforcement or government officials in response to any inquiry or investigation or if in our sole discretion, we believe it is necessary or appropriate in connection with any investigation or activity that is or may be illegal or may expose us or you to legal liability disclosures we are legally required or entitled to make under any enactment, rule of law or by the order of a court.
  • If required to do so by any court, the Financial Conduct Authority or any other applicable regulatory, compliance, governmental or law enforcement agency;
  • If necessary in connection with legal proceedings or potential legal proceedings;
  • If ownership of all or part of our Site is transferred, in the event that YouDrive sells any business or assets to a third party, we may disclose your personal information to the prospective purchaser, in which case any purchaser would only be entitled to use that information in a way consistent with this Privacy Policy;
  • In line with our own Terms of Service;
  • Our technology partners for the purposes of enabling your interaction with our Tools and Services and/or as described in clause 2.3 and 2.4 above. For example, our product comparison services and online account are for the most part powered by third party providers. In addition, we employ the services of third parties to aid us in certain aspects of our operations (such as the distribution of our email products or conducting a survey for us). Depending on the services performed, some of these providers may be provided with user information. These contractors would be subject to data protection and confidentiality agreements which limit their use and disclosure of all information they obtain through their relationship with YouDrive to YouDrive related business only, consistent with this policy.

(ii). We only provide aggregate, non-identifiable information to our current and prospective advertisers and business partners. For example, we might tell advertisers that we have 100,000 registered users in the UK, but we won’t tell them that you are one of them, and we won’t tell them your personal information or your contact details.

Under data protection legislation you have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. At our discretion, we may charge £10 for information requests to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you, and we may require you to prove your identity with two pieces of approved identification.

We will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete personal information about you on our files. Please address requests and questions about this to us at in**@yo************.com

If your browser is set up to accept them, we also use a feature known as a cookie. Cookies contain bits of information that websites transfer to your computer’s hard drive for record keeping purposes. Cookies can make the web more useful by storing information about your preferences on a particular site such as ours.

The information derived from our use of cookies will be aggregated to provide statistical information about the usage of our Site.

As part of our Site and services, cookies are used the following ways:

  • To automatically access your previously stored account information and deliver more personalised services
  • To estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
    We may also choose to work with advertising networks that serve ads onto our site who may also use cookies, but please note that we neither control nor have access to those cookies. These advertisers’ uses of cookies are subject to their own privacy policies and not that of YouDrive.

Most browsers are set up to accept cookies, but you can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to notify you when you’ve received one. If you reject cookies, though, you will not be able to use certain features of our site. For more details on which cookies we use, information on how to stop them being stored or how to delete ones already stored, read our Cookies – Frequently Asked Questions section

Our Site contains links to third party websites that are not subject to this Privacy Policy. Read our Terms of Service for further information on these links. We recommend you read the privacy policy and terms of service of any websites you visit.

Keeping information about you secure is very important to us so we store and process your personal information in accordance with the highest standards required under data protection legislation. From time to time and for operational reasons the personal information we collect from you may be transferred to and stored in countries outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Your information may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or by some of our service providers who operate outside the EEA. We use these service providers (which may include some based in the USA) to help us provide products and services to you. When we appoint suppliers we take care to ensure that they have appropriate security measures in place. However, different countries have different data protection and security laws and some of these do not offer the same level of protection as you enjoy under UK data protection legislation. You should be aware that your information may be accessible by government and law enforcement agencies. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. YouDrive will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any of your data transferred outside of the EEA is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

You may complete a registration process when you sign up to use parts of our Site. This may include the creation of a username, password and/or other identification information. Any such details should be kept confidential by you and should not be disclosed to or shared with anyone. Where you do disclose any of these details, you are solely responsible for all activities undertaken on our Site where they are used. To protect your account, we ask you to choose a strong password to access your data on our Site. A strong password should include a mixture of letters and numbers. Your password can only be reset with access to the email address registered in our system.

YouDrive is committed to protecting your personal information. All information that you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Access to any personalised area of the site is password-protected for your privacy and security. While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. We do our best to keep the information you disclose to us secure. However, we can’t guarantee its security. By using our Site you accept the inherent risks of providing information online and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security.

What does all this mean? Just as in the real world, you must protect yourself. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. If you need to change your password, please sign in to the site, go to your profile settings and then make the necessary changes.

This Privacy Policy is effective from 01 October 2018 (and replaces with immediate effect any previously published policy). We may, from time to time, make changes to this Privacy Policy to reflect any changes to our privacy practices in accordance with changes to legislation, best practice or Site enhancements. We will let you know what these changes are by posting them to this page, but it is your responsibility as a user to make sure that you are aware of them, by checking for any changes on a regular basis. Changes will become effective as soon as they are posted.

1. Where and when do we use them?

We use some ‘cookie’ files to help make your use of this site faster and easier. See below why we use them, and where you might see them.

2. Why do we use cookies?

There are a number of places that we use cookies as part of our Site and service. These fall into the following areas:

Online. The tools we provide you access to often use a cookie to make them easier to use. For example, the cookie may remember which questions you have answered previously so the answer can be used by you again.

User interactions. These help us see which parts of our Site and services, such as, pages, articles, tools and content, are of most interest to you. Information is all collected anonymously – we don’t know which people have done what. An example of a tool we use is Google Analytics.

Regular email communications. To differentiate between those who get it and those that don’t.

Comments.  When you leave a comment we use cookies so that you won’t need to re-type your information next time you want to leave a comment.  You can opt out of this if you want, but you’ll have to enter your information again if you comment.

Any cookies which are not used to make your experience of using the website better only provide us with statistics about the way users in general navigate the site.

We break down the overall concept of health or wellness into ‘bite-sized chunks’ that we can actually do something about.  The first level we call health domains.

We like the Life of Wellness site and we have chosen the following domains.

1. Emotional Wellness: Awareness and acceptance of feelings
2. Spiritual Wellness: A search for meaning and purpose
3. Intellectual Wellness: Recognition of your creativity, knowledge and skills
4. Physical Wellness: Need for physical activity and balanced nutrition
5. Environmental Wellness: Positive awareness and impact on your environment
6. Financial Wellness: Debt reduction, cash flow balance or financial future planning
7. Occupational Wellness: Personal achievement and enrichment from your career
8. Social Wellness: Contribution to your community

  • Financial
  • Intellectual
