The Energy-saving service Look After My Bills co-founders land record Dragons’ Den deal of £120,000 for just three per cent share of company.
Henry de Zoete and Will Hodson accepted the best ever deal on Dragons’ Den – £120,000 for 3 per cent of their company. The next best deal was five per cent for £100,000 back in 2014.
Their business was Look After My Bills, which helps families cut the cost of their energy bills each year – basically a free energy switching service. It is currently saving users £253 per year on average on their gas and electricity, and is expanding to broadband by the end of the year and other services such as car insurance in the future. It’s up to individuals whether they want to give control of this to a third party, especially one they don’t know. However, it may be worth it if you haven’t got the time or inclination to hunt around and complete all the forms.
