Household Fuel Bills Increase by Over 40%

Household bills have risen to a record £2,707 a year, with the average family paying 40 per cent more for their gas and electricity than they did five years ago, research shows.

The annual survey of the cost of heating and lighting a home, paying for buildings and contents insurance and car cover found that bills have increased by more than three times the rate of inflation since 2015.
